Corona Capital 2025: Mexico City’s Premier Music Festival Returns With Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, and Chappell Roan

Next month, the sounds of global indie, rock, and pop will echo through Mexico City as Corona Capital returns to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez from November 14–16, 2025. The three-day festival—now a cornerstone of Latin America’s live music calendar—boasts one of its most ambitious lineups to date, featuring Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Chappell Roan, Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Weezer, Garbage, Franz Ferdinand, Aurora, Alabama Shakes, and dozens more.

Since debuting in 2010, Corona Capital has become a symbol of Mexico City’s rise as a global hub for alternative music culture. While many North American festivals have shifted toward algorithm-driven pop and EDM acts, Corona Capital has carved out a niche for those who crave the eclectic energy of early-2000s-era festivals — where indie discovery met rock legends under one skyline.

“From the very beginning, Corona Capital was conceived as the international indie rock festival in Mexico — a weekend where fans can discover and experience a wide range of global music acts beyond the streaming platforms,” says Armando Calvillo De Mária y Campos of Corona Capital/OCESA. “While alternative and indie rock remain its core, the festival embraces other genres like hip-hop, K-pop, and pop, always staying true to its DNA.”

This year’s lineup perfectly captures that philosophy: Chappell Roan, one of 2024’s biggest breakout stars, shares top billing with Foo Fighters, whose anthemic live shows are the stuff of legend. The recently reunited Linkin Park adds a heavy dose of nostalgia and emotional catharsis, while bands like Vampire Weekend and Franz Ferdinand bring timeless indie flair.

Yet, beyond the music, part of Corona Capital’s magic is its location. Mexico City offers a backdrop unlike any other — a blend of ancient history and modern creativity. Between sets, visitors can explore Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, wander the canals of Xochimilco, or dive into the nightlife of Roma, Condesa, and Zona Rosa, where the festival energy continues long after the final encore.

For international travelers, it’s also a surprisingly accessible getaway. With round-trip flights from U.S. cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles often hovering around $300–$400 USD, and affordable lodging, dining, and local transport, the value is hard to beat. The festival’s crowd—known for their expressive fashion, passionate energy, and singalong spirit—makes the experience feel both global and uniquely Mexican.

Over the years, Corona Capital has hosted a who’s who of modern music: from The Strokes, Tame Impala, and Arctic Monkeys to Lana Del Rey and The Cure. Each edition cements its reputation as Latin America’s answer to Glastonbury or Coachella, but with an identity entirely its own.

Whether you’re chasing the roar of a Foo Fighters chorus, the shimmering pop of Aurora, or the communal pulse of thousands singing together under the night sky, Corona Capital 2025 promises another unforgettable chapter in the festival’s history.
