Wild Rivers & Wrabel Releases Must Listen Reimagination of Their Hit Song “Thinking ‘Bout Love”

On Friday, Wild Rivers teamed up with Wrabel to release an ethereal new reimagined version of their hit song Thinking ‘Bout Love. Wrabel’s voice joins the vocals of Devan Glover of Wild Rivers in a beautifully cohesive way.

The original version of Thinking ‘Bout Love was already a Road Trip Playlists favorite and has garnered over 50 million streams globally as part of their impressive ‘Songs To Break Up To’ EP. The group comprised of Khalid Yassein, Andrew Oliver and the aforementioned Devan Glover recently released their new album ‘Sidelines’ which is an early consideration for our favorite albums of the year.

Now the band follows up a successful album release with the reimagined single. The collaboration with Wrabel perfectly fits the social media cliche of “the combination we didn’t know we needed.” As a reimagined track it truly brings something new and delightful to an already great song.

Of the release, Devan from Wild Rivers said “We have been fans of Wrabel as an artist and a songwriter for a long time, and are thrilled to have him be a part of “Thinking ‘Bout Love”. He brought his own artistry and voice which instantly added another layer to the song. It was a really fun process to start from scratch and completely reimagine the song in the room with him and our producer Stint. The song and lyrics immediately took on a different mood; one that captured the melancholy side of lyrics, but still felt celebratory.”

Wrabel who is known for his strong vocals, but also his stellar songwriting gave credit to the Wild Rivers song saying “I wish I’d written it.” He also recently released his debut album ‘these words are all for you.’

Of the full release, Wrabel added, “it was such a pleasure getting to work with Wild Rivers. They’re not only so talented but so so kind. It’s rare for me to jump on a song that I wasn’t a part of from conception, but the first time I heard this one I wish I’d written it. It’s just such a beautiful song with so much heart in it. Getting to share time with them and Stint to work this up was so inspiring and I’m very proud of what we did.”
