Wild Rivers Has added another impressive single in a long list of recent releases. The latest ‘Long Time‘ joins ‘Weatherman‘ and ‘Amsterdam‘ of stellar tracks recently released. Each track is slotted on their recently announced sophomore album ‘Sidelines.’
The release of ‘Long Time’ is special and also was accompanied by the announcement of the bands upcoming album release. Wild Rivers announced the album in a tweet saying, “Today our new single ‘Long Time’ is out, which is fitting because today is ALSO the day we’re finally able to announce our sophomore record, ‘Sidelines’, which has been a long time coming. The album will be yours on February 4th, and it’s available for pre-save now.”
Wild Rivers released a visual to go with ‘Long Time.’ Directed by Jamar Redhead showcases dancers Andrew Dragert & Cassie Comiskey as the short notes on the piano play in a dark warehouse. Speaking of the song Wild Rivers said, “this idea came out of getting an unexpected call from an ex-lover. Your conscious, mature brain might tell you that you’re over something, and then in a moment, you’re right back to the place you were before”.
The visual fits the song so perfectly and you feel a sense of triumph as the dancer escapes the dark space into a rising sun. Be sure to watch the full music video above.
The Canada-based trio is comprised of Khalid Yassein (guitar, vocals, keys), Devan Glover (vocals) and Andrew Oliver (lead guitar, synths) see them on tour this fall. Wild Rivers will be coming to a city near you. For tour details, click here.
