Acclaimed singer-songwriter Tyler Childers breaks new ground today with the release of Snipe Hunter, his bold new thirteen-track album out now via Hickman Holler Records/RCA Records. Fans can stream or purchase the record here.

To mark the occasion, Childers has unveiled the official music video for the album’s lead track, “Eatin’ Big Time.” Directed by James Mackel.

Already hailed by critics as his “spiritual and artistic opus,” Snipe Hunter cements Childers’ place at the forefront of country music’s new vanguard. In a recent GQ profile by Marissa Moss, the magazine declares the album “the most visionary country album of the year,” calling it “a masterpiece that bucks genre convention…a guidebook for life.”

Produced by the legendary Rick Rubin alongside Childers and Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, and mixed by Shawn Everett, Snipe Hunter showcases Childers’ fearless creativity. The album’s standout track “Nose on the Grindstone” just notched his biggest week ever at country radio with more than 40 adds.

The new music arrives just as Childers and his powerhouse band The Food Stamps — James Barker (guitar, pedal steel), Craig Burletic (bass), CJ Cain (guitars), Kory Caudill (keyboards), Rodney Elkins (drums), Matt Rowland (keyboards) and Jesse Wells (guitar, fiddle) — hit the road for the expansive Tyler Childers On The Road Tour. The run includes major stops at iconic venues like New York’s Forest Hills Stadium (two nights), Nashville’s GEODIS Park (two nights) and London’s O2 Arena, with more dates throughout the fall.

With seven Grammy nominations and a string of acclaimed releases — including his RIAA Platinum debut Purgatory, 2019’s chart-topping Country Squire, and 2023’s Rustin’ In The Rain — Childers has won over fans and critics alike. His single “In Your Love” has already amassed over 215 million streams and 13.7 million video views while earning nominations for two Grammys, a VMA and an ACM award.
