Ruel’s 4TH WALL Tour: Live Concert Review + Gallery

On Tuesday, June 20th, Australian pop sensation Ruel made his big return to Toronto in support of his latest album release, “4TH WALL.” The 20-year-old has made a significant rise since his previous visit to Canada in 2019, with an evergrowing fanbase, chart-topping hits such as “GROWING UP IS _____,” and collaborations with notable artists like Omar Apollo and JVKE.

Accompanied by his talented band, Ruel delivered a captivating performance, showcasing an array of standout tracks from his recent album, including crowd favourites like “GO ON WITHOUT ME,” “SITTING IN TRAFFIC,” and “SET YOURSELF ON FIRE.” With his relaxed yet engaging stage presence, fans were given ample opportunities to unwind and sing along to each song on the carefully curated setlist. The show also featured a piano rendition of One Direction’s “Night Changes” and lively performances of fan-favourite tracks such as “Painkiller” and “Younger.”

Ruel’s performance was further enhanced by fun theatrics, including two vibrant yellow beach balls that were thrown around the venue towards the end of the evening. Finishing off with the emphatic “I DON’T WANNA BE LIKE YOU,” Ruel definitely left a lasting impression on his adoring Toronto fans. The Australian native is back on tour and better than ever, bringing a diverse setlist, his signature velvety smooth vocals, and an irresistibly charming demeanour.
