On Monday night, had there been no LANY posters or signage, you may have thought you were at a keshi concert.
keshi has been supporting LANY on their gg bb xx tour this fall. However, when watching his set, it felt like the entire crowd was there to see him. Screams echoed throughout the music hall just as keshi set up his guitar during an intermission. Homemade signs declaring their love for the artist were littered throughout the venue, and eventually, KE-SHI KE-SHI KE-SHI chants erupted midway through the rising stars set.
Beginning the set with his hit song ‘beside you,’ the artist won the crowd over instantly and had the near 6,015 capacity venue as backup singers. Taking note of the fan participation keshi polled the crowd asking, “how many of you are keshi fans?” a poll met by an overwhelming ovation.

The encouraging applause was followed by the announcement playing of an unreleased song titled ‘somebody.’ The single is set to be released on 10/22 and is one fans will enjoy! Pre-save ‘somebody’ now.
After playing a remix of ‘talk,’ keshi motioned toward his guitar and asked if it was okay that he play it. KE-SHI chants quickly filled the room. As the beginning notes of ‘drunk’ played the flashlight applications on fans’ phones illuminated the venue like stars in the night. It was a really beautiful experience. The majority of the crowd using their phones to engage and light the room made the giant music hall feel intimate.
keshi also created a sense of closeness with the crowd by regularly engaging with it. Approaching the crowd like one would approach an old friend. He asked the crowd for what they want to hear, and then he played it.
It was a special performance from start to finish, and keshi’s voice really shined throughout. The final song of his set was ‘2 soon,’ which was fitting because it felt like his set was ending too soon. It was a live act that no one wanted to end. keshi announced an upcoming album release with no timeline yet, but once it is out, don’t miss your chance to see it live.
