Omar Apollo brought his “Prototype” tour to Toronto’s History on Tuesday, November 29th, bringing all the energy for his second-last show. As the tour was coming to a close, Omar emphasized for his fans to dance, “get to know the person next to you,” and have as much fun as possible.
Omar started out with “Ivory,” “Killing Me,” and “Talk,” all songs from his newest album, Ivory. Not long after, the 25-year-old took a moment to praise his Toronto fans saying: “Ravyn told me it was lit out here… I believe her now!”
Apollo then excited his audience by asking how many Mexicans and Latinos were in the crowd. He transitioned into a set of Spanish songs like “En el olvido,” “Dos Uno Nueve (219),” and “Frío,” bringing on a passionate and powerful performance.
Before playing “Evergreen,” the 25-year-old said, “I got one more song that just went gold today.” Omar then beautifully performed his popular hit with fans singing along to every line.
When Omar returned to the stage, he burst into a fun rap while the crowd continued saying “one more song.” He then told everyone to go crazy, singing “Go Away,” as fans jumped and danced along to the last song, enjoying every final moment of the show.
Omar Apollo’s “Prototype” tour is a captivating experience, bringing a night full of dancing, unique performances, and even some laughs.
