Olivia O’Brien’s ‘Episodes pt. 1’ Now Streaming & “The Olivia O’Brien Show” Tour announced

Singer-songwriter Olivia O’Brien is back with her exciting sophomore album ‘Episodes.’ The album will be released in two parts, and ‘Episodes pt. 1’ is available to stream now. Consisting of six tracks ‘Episodes pt. 1’ encompasses everything from high-drama intrigue to the dark thrill of classic horror.

In season one of ‘Episodes’ Olivia O’Brien takes you through a range of emotions. A pattern that is likely to continue in pt. 2. On the upcoming album O’Brien said, “I wanted to show the good, the bad, the happy, the sad, the pretty, the ugly, and everything in between. I don’t like to stick to one thing and this album has allowed me to be more free than I’ve ever been while still sticking to a concept.”

‘Sociopath’ is the lead single for ‘Episodes’ and has already seen major streaming success with nearly 5 million streams. The single has also been added to over 40 major playlists on Spotify and Apple Music. Leading in with the iconic sample theme from Psycho, ‘Sociopath’ explores the idea of falling for someone you fear may have no feelings at all. O’Brien has an energetic horror themed hit with this single and a confidence that perfectly sets the tone for the album.

‘Sociopath is followed by other strong tracks like the explosive ‘No More Friends.’ Collaborating with Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes the song highlights O’Briens affinity for the pop-punk genre. ‘No More Friends’ is an empowering anthem declaring a newfound refusal of men stringing women along with no regard to their feelings. ‘Episodes pt. 1’ closes with the emotional ‘What Happens Now?’ A vulnerable single expressing the hard feelings post-breakup. ‘What Happens Now?’ becomes a beautiful bookend in this artistic journey O’Brien takes you on in Episodes. It leaves you looking ahead anticipating the final six tracks in Olivia O’Brien’s sophomore album.

Episodes Part 1 Track Listing:

  1. Sociopath
  2. Call Mom
  3. No More Friends (with Oli Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon)
  4. Keep It Movin’
  5. We’re All Gonna Die
  6. What Happens Now?

In addition to the release of part one of the album, O’Brien also announced “The Olivia O’Brien Show” tour. This fall Olivia will be hitting the road for a North American tour.
