Must See Acts At Shaky Knees Festival Day Two Saturday

Shaky Knees Festival is here! We wrote about our must see acts for the stacked Day One lineup, and now it is time for Day Two! Who are the artists that should be at the top of your list? How can you plan your schedule? We have you covered!

EXUM at 12:00-12:45

Exum is one of the top five acts that we have been excited to see at Shaky Knees. The former NFL safety turned musician is an artist on the rise and we can’t wait to see what comes next. For now, the artist will be playing at the Ponce De Leon stage at noon.

Chastity Belt at 1:30-2:15 PM

Eleanor Petry

The Pacific Northwest based Indie band Chastity Belt will be gracing the Piedmont stage at 1:30. The four-piece band is a must see for the Saturday slate of artists. Their nostalgic sound and fresh lyrics are perfect for the festival circuit. The band is coming off their recently released Fake/Fear singles from December. They are also hilarious. Come enjoy a set that is sure to be memorable.

HUNNY at 2:15-3:00

California’s own HUNNY is taking the Criminal Records stage on Saturday afternoon and it is definitely a can’t miss. Paired against the sensation DJO for timing, this is a band you won’t regret choosing to see. Having already toured major stages with The Neighbourhood, The Frights, and Beach Slang, HUNNY knows how to put on an entertaining live show. The live element only enhances their highly experimental albums produced with Grammy winning producer Carlos de la Garza. See you at this exciting performance.

BABYJAKE at 3:00-3:45

Just a short walk away from HUNNY is the alternative singer/songwriter BABYJAKE. BABYJAKE recently released his debut album ‘The Sun Wakes Up Earlier Now,’ an 11-track, genre-bending album that is a must listen. Ever since hearing BABYJAKE’s debut, I have looked forward to seeing what the act is like live. Expect to see us at the Ponce De Leon stage for this rising stars set.

Phantom Planet & Scarypoolparty 3:45-4:30

Having seen an incredible Scarypoolparty show earlier this year, I will be stopping in to see a band that I never thought I’d see live, Phantom Planet. Nevertheless, having seen Scarypoolparty I know that that is a must see act. You really can’t go wrong this hour. I have my fingers crossed I’ll be able to see a bit of both sets tomorrow.

Mt. Joy at 5:30-6:30

Mt. Joy was another act that we had circled on the lineup sheet as a must see. The band has been on an incredible rise over since the release of ‘Silver Lining.’ Now, Mt. Joy is playing some of the songs from their stellar sophomore album ‘Rearrange Us.’ This is one miss that fans absolutely should not miss at the Peachtree stage on Saturday.

The Regrettes at 6:30-7:30

I love Kurt Vile, but The Regrettes are one of the bands I discovered through the Shaky Knees lineup release, and have looked forward to seeing them since. The Regrettes lead singer, Lydia Night has been on tour since age 12, and now returning after the break the pandemic caused and at a festival, I can’t wait to hear what this unstoppable band has to show.

CHVRCHES at 7:30-8:30

CHVRCHES is a powerhouse with billions of global streams it is hit after hit from the festival stage. Come sing along with the incredible vocals under the setting sun at the Peachtree stage on Saturday night at Shaky Knees.

Japanese Breakfast at 8:30-9:30

Japanese Breakfast was a thrill to see on the festival lineup. Coming off the release of recent LP ‘Jubilee,’ a celebration following a festival to usher in hope of a new era in brilliant technicolor. However, I have a feeling that the festival stage will transform to a Jubilee as we celebrate the wonderful art coming from the amazing Japanese Breakfast.
