Maude LaTour’s Musical World Comes to Life in Toronto

With sparkling synths and glittering gloves, Maude LaTour’s musical world came to life in Toronto. It was like she was inviting us into her world, and we gladly accepted.. Her setlist included tracks from her June release of the Twin Flame EP and throwback songs for the die-hard fans in the crowd. The play of bright pop beats contrasting with Maude’s often devastating lyrical stories created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and otherworldly. Throughout the night, the energy in the room was infectious; Lola was a crowd favorite as the artist dedicated it to the queer folk in the crowd as she herself falls in love with the subject of the song, “Supernova, sip your soda/Yeah, I really think I love you, Lola.” As a break in the set, Maude emphasized the venue’s intimacy by settling into an acoustic portion of her set with ever-loved tracks, Lovebomb and Trees. On her next roundabout on tour, don’t miss your local Maude LaTour show filled with energy worth more than just music.
