Indie pop writer, artist, and producer Carobae – aka Caroline Baker – released her new single and video “dead ends/happy endings”, an emotional song about happiness and choices in the 21st century.
“I’m constantly analyzing the choices I’ve made in my life and how I ended up here,” she said. “If I had gone down a different path, would I be happy? Is anyone ever really happy? Or we are all driving down the road hitting dead ends, in search of unobtainable happy endings?”
Ahead of the single release, she shared these on Instagram: “I keep in touch with friends from high school with a click instead of a call, and wonder how my life would have been different if I never left home.”
Carobae’s lyrics reflect an insight into modern relationships, she constantly reflects and captures thoughts on life’s bigger questions, such as who are we trying to be under social pressure or feeling disconnected in this increasingly digital world.
Carobae’s indie music is known for the sincere feelings that it conveys in its lyrics, those that connect intimately and attract her listeners. To date, the Nashville artist has garnered more than 40 million streams on Spotify.
