Blake Rose continues to impress on tour with noah kahan in SLC

The success of his debut EP, A World Gone By, marked by global streaming numbers suggest Blake Rose is an artist to watch as more great things are sure to come from the young talent. Touring alongside Noah Kahan, Rose continues to prove his charisma on stage matches his masterful songwriting off stage. One of the most recent stops on that tour included back-to-back sold out shows at the Commonwealth Room in Salt Lake City.

At the beginning of the show, Rose asked the crowd if they were ready to get sweaty, and that he was going to bring the energy levels to the roof so Noah Kahan could take it to space. Perhaps his background busking on the streets in Perth prepared him for his ability to engage the crowd. After finishing his single ‘Gone’, He gave the crowd two simple rules: 1) If you saw somebody dancing, you had to dance with them, and 2) If you saw someone you thought was cute, you had to ask them for their number. And these rules did not fall on deaf ears. On multiple occasions people from the seated section in the back of the venue, moved up to the general admission crowd so they could dance along to his set.

Blake’s guitarist, Chris, and drummer, Levi, both had excellent showings on their respective parts. The crowd erupted as Chris took a solo on ‘Hotel Room’. And Levi’s creativity on the drums kept the vibe of each song exactly as it should be.

Blake Rose stated mission to bring the energy up in the crowd was a great success and perfectly primed the crowd for Noah Kahan. I look forward to following his career and seeing him headline a show. And, from the fans he’s gaining on tour with Kahan, I’m sure there will be a crowd just as eager.
