Beabadoobee took to Toronto on Thursday, December 1st to a sold-out crowd at the History venue. The 22-year-old has been making leaps and bounds with her music, from the release of her newest album Beatopia to performing for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. This show alone shows the jump she has made, compared to her previous one in Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall, a much smaller and intimate venue. Alongside New York-based openers Lowertown, both acts put on a stellar show putting all of their amazing talents forward.
To start off the show, Beabadoobee played “10:36,” “Apple Cider,” and “Care,” a blend of new and older tracks. Before singing her next song, Bea expressed her gratitude for her fans: “wow so many of you guys, thanks for coming!” She then played a handful of songs from her album Fake It Flowers, with the crowd dancing and singing passionately to each one.
By the end of the show, Bea came back to the stage to perform a few more songs such as the acoustic hit “Coffee.” The song was beautiful to watch, with Bea’s sweet vocals and the crowd forming hearts with their hands.
Beabadoobee‘s “Beatopia” tour is a refreshing show to see, with quality indie/alternative rock music and truly electrifying performances.
